My talon was running great. I had just recently installed the new exhaust. a couple days later I noticed lite miss at idle and while cruising in 5th. Then is started to become a little choppy under 2k( while driving). Yesterday it became choppy under any level of idle or throttle. The only time its ok it on a decel. Its bad. I had to throw the hazards on and drive at 20mph to get home last night.
Today I'v been swapping things out that might have an effect. Iv: -swapped over to a maft setup right before the tb elbow -swapped from my cop to stock coilpack/wires -swapped injectors and fpr and nothing has changed! i dont have another ptu to swap in and other than that im not sure what to try. Would a front 02 cause a issue like this after the exhaust install? There is a leak right between the dp and 02housing. Any idea's?
Thanks -Edwin

I'm on a stock regulator,so no gauge. Even so I swapped it out with another stock fpr an had no positive effects.

I replaced my O2 yesterday, it helped me out... My car was running like total crap. Also check the plug that the O2 sensor wire runs into. mine had the clip break off and cause the connection to be loose.
The 02 isnt the cheapest to replace, so checking the connection first is a really good idea. I paid 79 yesterday, for a bosch. (at autozone.)

i was just wondering about your fuel pressure cause if your pump was weak it might cause it to run poor. also my wanna check your ign timing and i'm not sure if you have a cat or not but that was a problem with Ashley's old car was the cat was clogged so cut it off and boom!!! problem solved!!!

You can't adjust anything timming wise on the 95/96 2g'( not sure on the 97-99). This hasent had a cat since iv had this car, lol.

The 1st thing I did was the plugs. Swapped in and gapped some ngkbr6es plugs. And 95-96 2g's don't have any adjustible cas as the one under the intake cam sprocket is in a fixed spot. I wish it were only that simple.

do you still have a 7 bolt in it? if so 95 should have seperate crank and cam sensors and your symptoms would point to one of those.. obdII? any CEL?

It it a 7bolt.The cam on is new. The crank one might has have to be checked.it is obd2 but it has always had a cel up for the rear o2.

pull the codes to make sure there isn't another one besides the rear o2. How old is your fuel filter? I've had similar problems due to both filter and pump starting to go.
Do the plugs look like you are getting too much fuel (black) or not enough (very light)?

The car will barley even stay alive at idle now. Its gonna be kinda hard to get to autozone for a cel reading. The fuel filter has unknown miles. I had planned on swapping it ouy when I get a walbro255. When I pulled out the plugs they weren't an a+ but dident look like any issues either.
