paul is awesome! well after talking to dan and several hrs of reading this post i agree with dan. i think the forums are good the way they are and everyone should be friends and get along on here, but the logo and all that should only go on dsm's. like i would never say to someone that im on wmdsm or even try to put a sticker on my car. i mean im on this forum like 5 days a week and im on tuners quite a bit, just to read and learn so when i get a dsm. so theres my $.02.
ps dan your awesome too!! (just so he doesnt cry) lol

Dan, Ashleigh, Randy, Pinder and others...thanks for the kind and sarcastic words What I'm trying to defend here isn't just for me, its for all the people I've met along the way that drive a number of different models and makes. I mean shit, Jesse has a talon I've never seen, Paul's car is a mag quality ride, Josh has an MSP, we have the STi guy, Paul's friend that showed up to the dyno with that sick SRT-4 (yea I said that, it sounded mean as hell with no dp) just to name a few. I don't have a 4g63 under the hood. I'm not asking to put wmdsm stickers on my car or if I can still wear my ultra rare 1 of a kind wmdsm t-shirt. All's I am asking is that as this "club" progresses forward that it doesn't overlook those that dont have a dsm because some of those people can end up being some of your best buddies one day. I can attest to that along with many others. I still would like to be a moderator and contribute to this group that I helped start way back over a year ago. And I still have my "turbo" rear tail light center section, so I technically still own, albeit part of, a dsm. So there

Anyway, apparently I started an argument way back when saying that DSM's only sounds kinda lame. Something along the same line as "no girls allowed." Are we gonna have a secret handshake too!?!?! Sorry for the sarcasm but this is ridiculous. This issue has been brought up NUMEROUS times over the last year and I have to say, I'll believe it when I see it. I know that not all of the people in K-zoo that come to our weekly meets have DSM's and frankly I don't care, they are way cool to hang out with and most of them have owned one in the past, so they can hang with the best of them when it comes to info. TJ, it sounds like your asking for input on where the club should go is arbitrary and that you already had ideas and plan on implementing them regardless. I respect that you started up the WEBSITE and think you have done a kickass job at that. Do what you are going to, you are the person who started the website, but as far as the meets go down here, we are going to keep accepting any rando that decides to show up and I will still ask Brandon first if I have a problem because he knows DSM's like the back of his hand and is a good friend REGARDLESS of his ride. ;D This is not meant to piss anyone off, so no need to argue with me. First of all the website was created, assembled, and put up by people other than TJ. TJ happens to have been able to put those people in touch with each other. I think there is some confusion about the issues here: This is WMDSM, a group for DSM enthusiasts in West Michigan. This has always been the idea. The website is something that came as a natural way for alot of spread out people to stay in touch. The forum is not the club, the website is not the club. In fact, right now there is not really an official club.... Which is why this post was started. No one is trying to say that owners of other cars aren't welcome on our forum or at our meets. It's just that the benefits of being in a club (part discounts, etc) and the decisions that effect the club (where to meet, whos in charge of what, etc) should be reserved for members only. I guess in a sense it is like "no girls allowed." For instance that club could be called the Boy Scouts.... If there is anyone out there who would like to be a member of a different sort of club, I say go for it, (after all this is a club, not a cult), but this is a DSM exclusive club. It was founded so that area DSMers could get together and share information, tips, help, and things of that nature. I don't know about you guys, but even though subys are AWD like DSMs, I wouldn't want someone who owns a suby, does all his work on his suby, and knows it like the back of his hand, messing with my car; simply because he dosen't know it as well as a DSMer. To me it sounds like the tension is here because Brandon sold his car. Well he made a choice to get out of the DSM scene and start a new project, so it makes sense that he wouldn't be someone who is the head of a DSM club anymore. SO if anyone has some productive ideas like delegating some responsibility to a few people for event organization, money handling, etc then lets hear them!

Well, I drive a scooby but you don't hear me bitching about not playing with the DSM kids. The next project is also non-DSM, so I won't be able to come play then either. This doesn't mean that I don't appreciate a nice DSM or fear a few of them on the street. This does mean that I can't join the "club" or participate in any events unless I'm invited to do so. Again, stop your bitching. If you want to be involved, buy a DSM. Otherwise, STFU!

oh kids lets move on give TJ and whom ever rules the roost to take aminute and give us a final decision. After that then lets move on to the important stuff like delegation of duties, getting stuff made up, plans figured out etc. honestly all I see is 5 pages of arguing/discussion/contradiction.. not saying it was'nt helpfull because IMO it was, but if TJ and the other mods etc dont step in and say "hey this is how it goes" this thread will run for ever..
TJ its yoru turn we are all listing u say what goes and we wil follow or leave. (prolly all follow reguardless). Then we can move on.!!!!

I mean shit, Jesse has a talon I've never seen, ... as long as i can get a wheel bearing changed and a set of tires before then, i should have it at the meet on april 1st i usually just have my avenger out as the talon is just my beater and i like playing with my avenger more for some dumb reason. plus the talon sat broken all of last summer which is why i never brought it out. it will probably be at the next few meets though since i need another tranny in the avenger again

Personally, I agree... this is WMDSM, or West Michigan DSM for the special people. The whole idea as I understood it last January, was to be DSM only. I don't have a problem with that, as long as the forums can be kept as a free-for-all, so long as some sort of Newbie regulations are set.
As far as Brandon not being a leader anymore... it's up to TJ ultimately, but my priorities lie with my friends. He was responsible enough to get everything coordinated in Kalamazoo with Matt's help. I mean, just look how much the Kzoo section has grown compared to GR. We get together down here, we don't just talk about it. I mean shit, there have been a number of occassions where TJ and Ben have come down to one of our weekly meets.
And bushroot, pretty much everyone that is "bitching", as you put it, owns a DSM... so please take your wagon and go buy some groceries or something.

How would you know how Kzoo has "grown" compared to kzoo you have never been up here for any of our get togethers 2 times a week during the summer. But the talk about who should be a member is over. I have made my decision and I will post that else where.
